Theme: What is the Glue that Keeps Us Together?

Let’s explore what and who keeps us going through the metaphor & philosophy of the Japanese Art of Kintsugi (mending broken pottery with glue and gold).

 

 

OARS in the Water is a facilitated Zoom gathering on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month offered by Healing Story Alliance to create a listening space to share the experiences and stories that have emerged through this turbulent time. This is not a therapeutic circle but we do hope it will be healing, supportive and inspiring.

 

 Admission is free, although donations are appreciated.

About the Hosts for January 26th:

 

Kristin Pedemonti is a Narrative Therapy Practitioner who has just graduated from the University of Melbourne Australia’s Master’s in Narrative Therapy and Community Work. She is an NSN StoryBridge Oracle Award recipient, the author of three books, and a Storytelling Presentation Skills Consultant at the World Bank. Kristin believes that when we acknowledge each other’s multi-layered stories, we can more clearly see each other and build bridges between. www.steeryourstory.com

 

Sarah O’Brien plays non-traditional music on Native American style flute. She has recently embarked on a path as musical companion for those moving through transition including hospice.

Galen Brandt, guest songster, will be sharing Leonard Cohen’s masterful song, “Anthem” in support of the evening’s theme. Galen is a writer, songwriter, singer and teller of stories.  She’s an award-winning Disney composer, a new product marketing expert for Fortune 500 companies, a corporate speechwriter, a conference convener and speaker, a gatherer of indigenous songs, and a singer in innumerable wonderful bands
