October is the first full month of fall. Migrations of various birds, insects, and other wildlife have begun. Apple harvest is in full swing. Corn stalks, jack-o-lanterns, gourds, Chrysanthemums, along with other fall and Halloween decorations adorn homes and businesses. Crisp air envelops us accompanied by the brilliant tree foliage changes to scarlet, orange, and yellow. As dark nights grow longer gripped by frost, shadowy figures loom larger on moon lit landscapes.
This is a time to share stories of mystery, supernatural happenings, and things that go bump in the night. It is time for tales of perseverance, traditional stories from North American tribes, or the lore of any culture about dark and stormy nights. This is the time to gather your stories to learn, tell, and share.
Just tell your story from the heart and let it wrap your listeners in a warm embrace, a world of fantasy, a thrilling experience, or a useful lesson. Whatever you choose will be a gift only you can deliver.
For our Monthly Meeting, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM we will meet in the Levenson Community Room on the first floor of the Portsmouth Public Library in Portsmouth, NH.
