The Storytelling Dinner with Matt Krug

On Thursday January 3rd, longtime area teacher, storyteller, and outdoor enthusiast, Matt Krug will return to the Corner House Restaurant for an evening of storytelling. He will tell a mix of embellished traditional tales and stories he has cultivated on his own. These stories, in regards to the New Year, will be loosely based around the theme of “New Beginnings.” Matt believes stories educate, build empathy, and strengthen communities.

Over the last couple summers Matt is a weekly storyteller at Huttopia Campground in Albany NH. He has been a regular at the Appalachian Mountain Club and is known as Tin Mountain Conservation Center’s “Star Wizard” for his astronomy/storytelling program.

A New Hampshire native, Matt spent his early adulthood traveling throughout the United States. He has recently moved to a large 1846 farm house in Fryeburg ME where he is learning about growing apple trees and raising Nigerian Dwarf goats.

When asked about attending Matt’s storytelling performances, his brother responded, “I imagine there are worse ways to spend an evening.”

Storytelling Dinners are held on Thursday evenings at the Corner House Inn from late October through May and begin at 6:30 pm. The price is $25 per person, plus tax & gratuity. For more information and reservations contact the Corner House in Center Sandwich at 284-6219 or online at info@cornerhouseinn.com
