The Pioneer Valley’s beloved Winter Solstice Celebration returns for its 41st year, lighting up the longest night of the year with stories, songs, and community warmth. For the first time, the event will gather around the fireplace in the living room of the Common House at Cherry Hill Cohousing, 120 Pulpit Hill Road, Amherst, creating an intimate and cozy setting for this cherished tradition.

Join us on Saturday, December 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.) for an evening of storytelling, music, laughter, and connection. A suggested donation of $15–$30 for adults helps support the ACLU and The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Attendees are also invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the Amherst Survival Center and a treat to share at the intermission buffet. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Our 2025 performers include Sonny Crawford, Christy Grecsek, Yosl Kurland with Peggy Davis and Aaron Bousel, Rona Leventhal, Sarah Pirtle, John Porcino, ReBekka Tippens, Tim Van Egmond, and Rochelle Wildfong, many of whom have been part of this celebration for all 41 years. We are also thrilled to welcome special guest Onawumi Jean Moss.
