Ready to share your knowledge with a budding storyteller?

Want someone to guide you in the storytelling ropes?

Enter: NEST Mentorship Program

This program was created to help both new and seasoned tellers navigate the NEST waters and also get guidance on storytelling.

What is a mentor?

A mentor is someone who shares their knowledge, skills and/or experience, to help another to develop and grow.

If you are interested in being a mentor, keep reading. We’re looking for seasoned storytellers who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with someone just entering our profession. You will provide energy and nourishment to newcomers as they move along on their storytelling journey.

This is a three-month commitment. And you will be provided a guideline of topics to work on/discuss with your mentee, but mostly your role as a mentor is to support and provide guidance to your mentee so they feel welcomed into NEST and the storytelling community.

It’s one mentor to one mentee.

Qualifications

That being said, we are looking for the following as requirements to be a mentor:

  1. A storytelling mentor will provide guidance and support to a mentee to help her/him develop professional and personal skills.
  2. During the relationship, the mentor stands ready to adapt her/his role to help the mentee achieve her/his goals.
  3. 2+ years in NEST and an active storyteller, having told at least 10 stories.

  5. Mentor makes the initial contact, once assigned a mentee.
