Getting to Portsmouth, New Hampshire

There are many ways to get to our conference site, The Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, located at 250 Market St, Portsmouth, NH 03801
By Plane
We recommend flying into the Boston airport (BOS) and then taking the C&J bus to Portsmouth from there. (See “By Bus” section below.)
Manchester, NH, and Portland, ME, airports are also options, but you would have to rent a car from there. (See “By Car” section below.)
By Train
Take Amtrak to Boston South Station, and then take a C&J bus to Portsmouth. (See “By Bus” section below.)
By Bus
Greyhound has a stop on Hanover street in downtown Portsmouth, just a few blocks from the hotel. Plan and book your route here: https://www.greyhound.com/en
C&J Transport offers affordable one-way and round-trip fares from BOS (Boston Airport) and
the Boston South Amtrak Station to Portsmouth ($26 each way). Buses depart BOS each hour and arrive at the Portsmouth Bus Terminal, about a mile from town. You will need to get a Lyft, Uber, or taxi from there to the hotel. Book your bus tickets here: www.ridecj.com
To get to the C&J bus inside the airport, head to baggage claim. Pick-up is located outside of baggage claim all the way to the right (on the first curb) near the orange sign that reads "Scheduled Bus" with New Hampshire listed underneath. Terminal A pickup is located outside door A105; Terminal B1 outside door B101; Terminal B2 outside door B115; Terminal C outside door C110; and Terminal E outside door E107. As you can see, several different buses come and go from these locations, so make sure you look for the C&J Line. Our experience is that they are on time.
Note that your ticket will be good for only the time listed. Give yourself ample time to deplane, get your baggage, use the bathroom, grab food, and get to the bus stop with some time to spare. If your flight is delayed, make sure to call C&J to reschedule your ticket.
By Car

Parking
Note that parking in downtown Portsmouth is at a premium. We have negotiated a reduced parking rate of $20/night for hotel guests ($20 total) and $20/day for those not staying at the hotel. We encourage you to carpool with others in your area to reduce your expense of both gas and parking. We are working on a way to connect carpooling conference attendees to one another.
