Adult storytelling series at the Katonah Public Library

Featuring Carol Birch: “From whispers to near roars, this program of my dad, John Steinbeck, and the story behind the song, ‘Which Side Are You On?’ has grown and changed. It is my pleasure to walk it through again and again.”
As Melissa Heckler wrote, “Hang onto your hats! Join us for moments of surprise, reflection, and laughter — these stories and storytellers have it all! There’s something for everyone at this spoken word feast. After the stories, there’ll be treats to enjoy as we gather and talk to the storyteller and one another. The Katonah Village Library is an easy walk through a delightful town (with plenty of eateries and shop) from the Katonah train station. (From Grand Central take Metro North, the Harlem Line, Southeast.) The series is free.”
Once — or Twice — Upon a Time Adult Storytelling Series
Steinbeck Out Loud. When heard out loud, John Steinbeck’s words are as exhilarating as they are a revelation. His stories ricochet between head and heart and fists held high. Carol Birch will lead listeners through landscapes of two Steinbeck stories, and bring us home with renewed faith in the human heart.
Enjoy refreshments and conversation with Carol after the formal program concludes. For further information: katinfo@wlsmail.org
