(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling featuring true stories told by people drawn from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds – from the fantastic pool of Moth-winners to first-timers and everything in between – who find the comedy and heart that make stories the best entertainment possible. Four storytellers share a true story from their own life, but three of them include subtle little lies. The audience gets to question them in the 2nd half of the show, then votes for the person they think told it straight. The whole truth comes out in the end, and host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff – a creative arts therapist and writer/performer – sets up each stage of the game with music and some improv. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that.
The New York Daily News wrote “self-medicate with real-life therapist Jude Treder-Wolff and her amazing line-up of performers. Expect the unexpected. And without the hourly rates!”
Theatre Is Easy described it as “instant relief from the blues.”
