The Healing Story Alliance is emerging from a chrysalis experience and taking flight in
New Directions. What are ours? What are yours? Come explore moments of
transformation as 2023 breaks open with all kinds of possibilities for each of us.
OARS in the Water is a facilitated Zoom gathering on the second and fourth
Wednesday of the month offered by Healing Story Alliance to create a listening space
to share the experiences and stories that have emerged through turbulent times. This is
not a therapeutic circle but we do hope it will be healing, supportive and inspiring.

About our Hosts for Jan 25th
Lani Peterson, Psy.D, as a storyteller, psychologist and coach, works with story to
promote growth, connection and change. Lani relies on her joy in telling stories
matched with her knowledge of the theory behind stories to guide people in finding,
exploring and sharing the stories that might transform their understanding of themselves
and others. She is a member of the HSA executive and programming committees.
Heather Forest, PhD is a noted storyteller, author, musician, and workshop leader who
has toured her repertoire of world tales told in a fusion of original music, prose, poetry,
and the sung and spoken word to major theatres, festivals, and performance venues
both nationally and internationally. She has received the Circle of Excellence Award for
performance skill and the 2021 Talking leaves Award for her contributions to Storytelling
literature from the National Storytelling Network. She is a member of the HSA Executive
Committee and Chair of the HSA programming committee
