Margaret Burk co-produces Back Room Stories OUTSIDE!, and Tellers' Night, a monthly show from Sept - May at Robert’s Westside in Forest Park. She will be featured at the Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival, Sunday & Monday, Sept. 1 & 2, Wheeler Park, Geneva IL.
Kelly Campos is a talented singer/songwriter as well as storyteller. She twists folk & fairy tales into new patterns, highlights African American life with her true stories, and weaves music through them all. Kelly makes her debut at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tenn. this October.
Anne Shimojima has been telling stories of her Asian heritage and from around the world in festivals, schools, libraries and museums for over forty years. Her signature piece Hidden Memory describes her Japanese American family’s experience in the incarceration camps during World War II. Anne recently received the Circle of Excellence Award from the National Storytelling Network.
Beth Horner is noted as a vivacious talent dedicated to providing an entertaining and empowering experience for her listeners, young and old. With a comic sensibility and warm, energetic style, Beth possesses a repertoire of stories that has been called “heartfelt, articulate and truthful.” She has performed many times at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough Tenn. and will be a featured teller there again this year - Oct 4-6.
Megan Wells is a full-time professional touring storyteller and a sought-after Storytelling Coach. For thirty-four years Megan has been telling every kind of story to adults and children alike. Her lauded historical impersonations include Princess Diana, Mary Shelley and Florence Nightingale. She will once again return as a featured teller at the 2024 National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tenn.
