Every woman carries stories worth telling; stories of resilience, transformation, endurance, humor, loss, and truth. At a moment when women's voices are so often talked over or silenced altogether, claiming the space to speak our own truths in our own words is both a creative act and resistance. This class offers a welcoming space for anyone who identifies as a woman to explore and shape the stories only she can tell.
Together, we'll dig into personal narrative, folklore, and the craft of oral storytelling, discovering how our individual experiences connect to larger threads of history and shared experience. All levels of storytelling experience are welcome; there is something for all. No prior storytelling experience is needed, just a willingness to listen, reflect, and speak.
Across our three sessions, you'll learn practical tools for finding a story worth telling, shaping it with intention, and delivering it with confidence, all within a supportive small-group setting designed to honor different voices and comfort levels. Whether you're drawn to family history, personal transformation, or the tales that have shaped how you see the world, you'll leave with a story you're proud to tell and the skills to keep telling more.
Details:
Three live online sessions on consecutive Tuesday evenings (September 8, 15, 22) with an option for a fourth session where we share our stories with friends and family
A detailed and comprehensive handout
A resource list of where to tell and how to find more stories
Optional coaching
And more.
