About the Video of The Winter Solstice in Story and Song: Celebrate the Winter Solstice with haunting legends of light, evergreen traditions, and entertaining tales surrounded by traditional and original music and song. Master storyteller Diane Edgecomb brings to life ancient tales of the longest nights. Featured stories include the beautiful Legend of the Mistletoe from Scandinavia, humorous English Wassail traditions, and the poignant Greek legend The Halcyon Days of Peace. Accompanied by Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan this performance offers a fascinating look at the humorous and moving stories behind winter holiday traditions. With emcee Jack Scheer and storytellers Lona Bartlett, Alton Chung, Lynette Ford, Dolores Hydock, Laura Packer, Denise Page, Jessica Robinson and Ed Stivender. All ticket holders get a link to our recipe collection with over 20 recipes from our community of storytellers. During the show, we will premiere our year end recap video, and at the end of the show we will invite all who attend to join us in a toast to bid 2023 a fond farewell.
