Sacred can mean so many things and so we invite many voices to meet and share the “sacred” space within each of us. Sacred Stories are stories that inspire us, remind us we are not alone, and connect us in our universality of emotion and experience. They are stories that inspire, cause healing laughter, reviving tears and give us the motivation to act for peace, unity and justice. We will have live and pre-recorded stories. Our pre-recorded stories will be from those storytellers who are no longer with us in body, but their voice lives on in our hearts and hearts. This program we will honor storyteller and poets Thomas Doty, Terry Koops, Maurice Kenny, and, most recently deceased, Clayton Williamson. Featured storytellers are Lona Bartlett (NC), Jim Brule (NY), Victoria Burnett (CA), Allison Downey (MI), Laura Simms (NY), and an extra special time with Joseph Bruchac (NY).
