Brer Rabbit is the trickster from many stories told by the enslaved population and told from generation to generation in the African-American population. On this special night you will hear four master storytellers – Diane Ferlatte, Baba Jamal Koram, Sparky and Rhonda Rucker – share adventures about their friend, Brer Rabbit. Stories will be told, but even more fun – there is a conversation between them, and who knows what songs, stories, proverbs and wisdom will come from them, but I assure you they will come. The program ends with a half-hour Q&A with four beloved storytellers.
