Diane Ferlatte listened as neighbors swapped stories, lies, and tales on her grandparents’ porch in Alexandria, LA. Now, with music, sign language, and humor, she shares the oral tradition, the struggles and triumphs of the African American experience, and global tales that touch our common humanity. She will be accompanied by her musician Erik Pearson.
