Share the stage with three MetroWest storytellers/poets at a unique combination of open-mic and feature performers. Betsy Johnson, Thea Iberall, and Ben Jackson will each perform sets of original works, while seasoned and beginning storytellers alike are invited to perform for up to three minutes.

FEATURES:
Thea Iberall, PhD, has been called ‘a shimmering bridge between heart and mind.’ The co-host of Expresso Yourself Coffeehouse, she has been storytelling since 1998, representing Los Angeles at the National Poetry Slams. An inductee into the International Educators Hall of Fame, Thea has performed at almost 100 venues in Massachusetts and Southern California including newCAJE, Limmud Boston, StorySpace, the Berkshire Festival of Women Writers, and the Long Beach Green Festival. Her visionary novel, The Swallow and the Nightingale, has been hailed as ‘a lesson for our time.’ She is a member of Northeast Storytellers and the Jewish Storytellers of New England. www.theaiberall.com

Betsy Johnson is a poet and storyteller focused on finding the sacred in the ordinary and metaphor in the details. Betsy’s work has appeared in Mamalode, Flat Earth Diary, Out on a Limb, and other anthologies and journals. She writes at the frontier between deep internal experience and revelations of the outer world. She likes to create a door through which others can walk. Betsy has served on the Board of Directors of SPARK Kindness, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to building kind, empowered & inclusive communities where no child or family feels alone, bullied, unsupported or unconnected. With a shining star daughter with autism, she has learned to see the beauty of difference, the light and color and startling depth of dimension in the full range of the human spectrum.

Ben Jackson is a writer and has spent nearly 20 years in the bookselling and publishing business.
