Gathering of Tellers

We may have had to cancel the on-campus
39th Annual Connecticut Storytelling Festival & Conference, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have a virtual Festival
“Gathering of Tellers”!
That’s right! We’ve been cooking up ideas to preserve the 39th Festival and give everyone the fix of stories they are used to getting on the last weekend in April.
On April 25, 2020 at 10 a.m.
we will hold a virtual Gathering of Tellers on Zoom!
This will allow those of you who have attended all 38 Festivals
up to this point, to preserve your streak, and raise funds for the Storytelling Center too.
We hope it will fill some of the void we’ve been experiencing, knowing we will not be together for our traditional end of April storytelling festival.
For those trying the Festival for the first time, it will give you a small taste of what the Connecticut Storytelling Festival is all about.
Three performers who would have entertained you at the Festival, have agreed to bring you live stories through the
Zoom webinar application.
You’ll be able to sit back and enjoy history with Carolyn Stearns, twisted/fractured stories with Linda Gorham,
and mayhem with Bill Harley. Okay, maybe not mayhem with Bill, but definitely something special!
Each teller will have about 15 minutes, so the program will be short and oh-so-sweet!
Here are the details you will need to take your “seat”.
We are asking for a minimum of $10. If you can give more, thank you so much! If you are not in the position to purchase at this time but would still like to attend, let us know. Scholarships are available.
Please email us: info@connstorycenter.org.
To get your virtual “seat”,
From there, you’ll select your purchase amount
from the drop down menu to complete your purchase
Not to worry if you don’t have a PayPal account.
There’s an option allowing you to use your credit card once you arrive at the Paypal shopping cart.
That’s it!
We will email you a link to the Zoom Gathering.
Just before 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning,
you’ll click on that link and follow the prompts.
Zoom will bring you right to your “seat” at the Gathering.
(You can purchase by check too but please send an email first to info@connstorycenter.org.)
