Becoming a storyteller takes skill, some natural talent and good stories. Becoming a storyteller who gets noted requires some opportunities to tell stories and have story listeners and storytelling event producers see you “do your story thing”. At this storytelling event, “NEW-ish & GOOD Storytellers”, you will hear some of the newer storytellers from around the country as recommended by seasoned storytellers: Ken Wolfe (St. Louis, MO), Elisabeth Alton (New Haven, CT), Juliana Person (McMinnville, OR), Jay Johnson (Newport News, VA), and others.

Artists Standing Strong Together (ASST, pronounced “assist”, www.artistsstandingstrongtogether.net) has as its mission to “connect storytellers to resources”, and are excited to provide this resource to newer storytellers – providing a platform for present. Become a cutting-edge storylistener by being at this program so you can say “I remember when…” and “I saw them early”. Like the New Moon, you will see them at their “slightly showing” beginning and watch them as they become a bright light.
