Hosts: Joe Doolittle and Mike Seliger
Theme: Memory and Remembrance
Autumn is a time of remembrance. The memory of folks who have loved, and mentored us, of places and situations that have inspired us, and brought us joy helps our days and shapes our future. Join us to share memories of special people and situations in our lives.
Admission is free, although donations are appreciated.
We’ll gather via Zoom. Here is the link:

OARS in the Water is a facilitated Zoom gathering on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month offered by Healing Story Alliance to create a listening space to share the experiences and stories that have emerged through this turbulent time. This is not a therapeutic circle but we do hope it will be healing, supportive and inspiring.
About the Hosts for October 27th:
Joe Doolittle is a retired healthcare executive, an accomplished storyteller, and co-producer of Story Circle at Proctors, a resident company at the theater. He likes to tell personal stories and has a repertoire of historical tales about the Hudson and Mohawk Valleys. A graduate of Colgate University and the University of Pittsburgh, Joe is active in community affairs and is a volunteer chaplain at Albany Medical Center. He is also a member of the HSA Executive Committee.
Mike Seliger is a self-described “Creative Communicator,” trained in the arts of Mime, Clown, and Storytelling. He is a member of Healing Story Alliance’s Executive Committee, and has written articles and given presentations about Healing Story and Social Justice, among many topics. He has produced training videos, some using humor as a key device for getting the message across, and looks forward to completing books of poetry and memoir soon. Having retired as Dean for Planning at Bronx Community College, after a long career serving community based organizations and training change-makers, he says that, while he holds a doctorate in sociology, he is most proud of two awards bestowed upon him by Bob Kanegis’ institution in New Mexico, a License to Saunter, and a MSU degree (Make Something Up!)
