Solstice, the shortest day, is a reminder of the light returning. And an opportunity to honor the darkness; what has been lost and what has also been the light which keeps us going. Kristin and Galen will take us on a journey through ponderings and song.

We wonder: How might darkness assist us to see the light?

 

Admission is free, although donations are appreciated.

OARS in the Water is a facilitated Zoom gathering on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month offered by Healing Story Alliance to create a listening space to share the experiences and stories that have emerged through this turbulent time. This is not a therapeutic circle but we do hope it will be healing, supportive and inspiring.

 

About the Hosts for December 22nd:

Kristin Pedemonti is grateful to be a fully fledged Narrative Therapy Practitioner upon her graduation from the University of Melbourne Australia’s Master’s in Narrative Therapy and Community Work. She is an NSN StoryBridge Oracle Award recipient, the author of three books, and a Storytelling Presentation Skills Consultant at the World Bank. Galen R. Brandt is an award-winning writer, songwriter, singer and performer for film, print, television, recordings and stage.  A Disney songwriter, corporate speechwriter, copywriter, jingle writer, new product consultant, virtual reality pioneer and cultural journalist, she’s now writing musicals about piglets and country singers.  She believes that even on the darkest days, the sun will rise, and the light remains.
