Story Blowout 2020
2020 will be remembered by the wide-ranging events – from election to pandemic, from wildfires to hurricanes, from KPop to Tik Tok, from murder hornets to UFO sightings, from MAGA rallies to Black Lives Matter protests – what a year! So in light of all the strange stories of this year, Artists Standing Strong Together will end the year with a Story Blowout – stories from all over the world, from different storytelling types, and from different generations of storytellers. Join our Blowout to see the performances of our YSSC (Youth Standing Strong Camp) Winter Break Storytelling youth tellers. The stories start at 10:30 am (EST) and continue until 11:45 pm, and you can come and go as you’d like, or keep the stories on your phone, iPad or laptop as you rest, relax and plan for 2021. Starting at 11:45 pm (EST), we will have the countdown and then we will play music, dance and have champagne or grape juice until 3 am on Jan. 1, 2021!

The other great thing about 2020 was the founding of Artists Standing Strong Together, which began in March as a way to gather the community of artists, and ends the year as a non-profit organization connecting artists to resources. We’d love to have your financial support as we enter into the new year and add more resources, programs and opportunities for artists in a vareity of genres. Please consider a $30 – $60 donation, which you can give even if you can’t attend our Story Blowout 2020. Donations accepted at www.artistsstandingstrongtogether.net/donate. The website takes credit cards, PayPal, Square and has an address if you’d like to mail a check/money order. If you decide to mail the check/money order, please contact me, Sheila Arnold, sheilaarnold39@aol.com, and let me know that it is being mailed and the amount so we can adjust our records accordingly.
