Humorous Storyteller Joan Blackwood visits the Corner House Inn
Storyteller Joan Blackwood, “the Lucille Ball of Alton Bay”, spins humorous yarns on Thursday evening, Feb. 28 at the Corner House Inn’s Storytelling Dinner Program. Joan comes from a long line of storytellers, and has been telling stories all her life. Her desire is to make people laugh and her true adventures, or rather misadventures, have been collected over decades. She has honed her craft at talent shows, Senior Citizens’ and local Garden Clubs as well as among friends and family. Her belief is “If it is a disaster now…..chances are it will be a great story later”.
Joan appeared previously to rave reviews at the Corner House’s Season ending Story Gala last May. This will be her first featured evening in the Corner House storytelling program. Joan and her husband live happily in retirement in to Alton N.H.
Join us on Thursday, Feb. 28 and let your funny bone be tickled by Joan’s unpredictable tales. Storytelling Dinners are held on Thursday evenings from late October through May at the Corner House in Center Sandwich. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm, and the cost is $25 per person (plus tax & gratuity) for a 3-course meal, including salad, entrée, dessert, coffee, complimentary glass of wine, and great storytelling entertainment. For reservations and more information, contact the Corner House Inn at 284-6219 or online at info@cornerhouseinn.com
