Lee-Ellen tells stories with the intent of helping people focus on what matters, enhancing our empathy for others and encouraging greater community involvement. She develops programs encourage small acts of personal change such as understanding community challenges and joys, the benefits of planting trees, and reducing waste in clothing purchases. Many of her stories are highly adapted folk and fairy tales. She is the creator of the Story Shifters Game, a non-competitive card game that inspires people to take traditional tales as raw material for fresh stories.
