Sharing the Fire 2027: One Tapestry, Many Threads

Sharing the Fire (STF) is Northeast Storytelling’s annual gathering for storytellers, story listeners, and story lovers. Packed with interactive practical workshops, peer connection, and vibrant mainstage performances, STF is where people of all backgrounds sharpen their craft, uncover new techniques, and build lasting creative relationships. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just beginning your storytelling journey, an educator, an artist, making your way through the world with story in your toolbelt, or simply someone who loves hearing a great tale told well, there’s plenty here for you.
The theme, “One Tapestry, Many Threads”, captures the heart of storytelling: individual voices coming together to weave a richer, more vibrant picture. As different threads cross and overlap, entirely new ideas emerge that no single teller could have imagined on their own. In what can feel like lonely times, it is a celebration of diversity, community, and the ways in which we uplift and complement each other.

Igniters are the lifeblood of Sharing the Fire. You believe in this gathering before the final schedule is printed, and your early commitment lights the spark that brings the whole weekend to life.
Because you already know you want to attend, even before the workshop roster is announced, we are offering our lowest registration rate of the year. It is priced even lower than last year’s standard Early Bird rate as our way of thanking you for anchoring our community and giving us early momentum.

• What it covers: Full In-Person Conference Pass (March 18–21, 2027), including Thursday evening kick-off events, Friday welcome and mainstage concert, all Saturday workshops and showcases, and Sunday morning workshops and closing session, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast. Recordings of main-stage performances, keynote, and online/streaming workshops will be available for viewing post-conference for four weeks after they are posted.
• Ignite Rate Deadline: This rate is available only while the workshop schedule is being built. It closes the moment the workshop lineup is finalized and published (targeted for December 9, 2026), or when the limited Ignite ticket block sells out, whichever comes first. If our schedule is completed ahead of time, this block closes early.

Once the schedule is announced, registration shifts immediately to standard Early Bird pricing, which will run through February 1, 2027. If you want the absolute lowest rate of the year, grab your Ignite pass now before the program is revealed

(Friday Intensives are a separate charge that will open once the schedule is set. Single-day passes, single evening performance tickets, and STF Online passes will open later this year.)

NEST Membership options: 

Individual: $55 per year

Organization: $85 per year

Student: Free for the first year, then $15 per year afterward while still enrolled in an educational institution

Family Membership: $95 per year for two adults and their children.
