This New Yorker has worn many hats over the years: Bassoonist, Radio DJ, Fashion and cosmetics copywriter, ESL teacher, Corporate trainer, Adjunct professor, Cat rancher, Fundraiser, and story listener. She was convinced she could never tell stories herself. That is, until she reached a certain milestone birthday. She reconsidered, and walked away from the cubicle farm to take a deep dive into stories. Since then, she has told stories on two continents to audiences of all ages. She likes to share the layered wisdom of folktales from many cultures, and is especially drawn to the heroes and old stories of her Irish ancestors. Cathy now lives in the woods outside Brunswick, Maine, where a small hive of storytellers is carrying on the oral tradition.
