Otherwise, there will be a placeholder message.) Nestor “the Boss” Gomez: Was born in Guatemala and traveled to Chicago in the mid 80’s. He was undocumented, stuttered and didn’t know English. He didn’t have a voice. Today Nestor is an American citizen, speaks English with a sexy Latin accent and has become a storyteller, winner of close to 100 Moth Slams. He has found his voice. Nestor has performed and conducted storytelling workshops in multiple locations around the country. He also created his own storytelling show “80 Minutes Around the World” a show that features the stories of Immigrants and refugees from different parts of the world, their descendants and allies. Nestor is also a published author. His most recent book, a collection of stories about life with his four-legged friends titled RESCUED ME, is now available.
