As part of the library’s month-long theme, “Celebration of Light” Van Egmond will present songs and stories honoring the illumination in the season’s major holidays and traditions. A versatile performer, Van Egmond moves easily from a rousing singalong to a gripping story. He accompanies himself on guitar, hammered dulcimer, and mountain dulcimer. His spellbinding talent, dynamic style, and engaging warmth create a magical experience for all ages. All ticket holders get a link to our recipe collection with over 20 recipes from our community of storytellers. Using stories, meditations, music, and online and offline exercises, we will discover new paths of yearning and blessing that arise in this powerful time of year. Classes will be held via Zoom on three Wednesdays (9:30-11:30 EST / 15:30-17:30 CEST): 7, 14, and 21 December – culminating on the Winter Solstice. The fee for the three classes is $120 USD; limited scholarships are available.
