Spring Fling Celtic Concert
Event Website: https://www.goodshepherdjericho.org/spring-fling-concert-2026 Event Phone: 802-899-3932 Event Contact Email: ranney@gmavt.net Welcome to the coming of spring! This year we have invited storyteller extraordinaire, Andy Davis, to join us on another great adventure through the land of music and stories. Green Mountain Celts (Joanne & Terry Ranney, Mike Reynolds, Rev. Arnold Isidore Thomas) will also be joined by John Guay, Vonnie Estes & Nancy Bakemeier (Tenpenny Bit) and Iain MacHarg (Piper). Come, tap your toes and enjoy an entertaining evening of music and stories for all ages. Following the concert there will be refreshment and fellowship. Andy Davis got his start as a storyteller telling comic tales by candlelight in Mexican refugee camps 30 years ago. He has since broadened and refined his craft and, while based in New Hampshire, has entertained audiences as far north as County Down, Ireland, as far east as Paris, as far south as Bamako, and as far west as San Diego. His varied repertoire of tales contains equal parts multicultural folklore, magical realism, grassroots history, and personal experience. He can tell a shaggy dog with the best of them, and then follow it up with a poignant family story laden with meaning. He is equally at home sharing the lore and legends of the mountains and woods of northern New England and creating verbal portraits of political courage. Last year Andy undertook his second annual bicycle storytelling tour, which took him 850 miles and included 18 performances in all six New England states. His third annual bicycle storytelling tour, this August, will bring him back to our neighborhood. Stay tuned! Donations/free will offerings will be donated to The Jericho/Underhill Foodshelf. Refreshments may be purchased using cash or Venmo.
